North London club Tottenham Hotspur are now unbeaten in seven Premier League games under new manager Antonio Conte. They are one of the few teams who have not tasted defeat in the last six Premier League games. Spurs have shown signs of improvement under Conte since his appointment last month and they are now unbeaten in all the seven league matches under his watch after the 1-1 away draw against Southampton earlier this week.
Conte was unbeaten in his first six Premier League games before the Southampton game and he was able to make it seven games with the score draw recorded after the game.
The Saints took the lead through skipper James Ward-Prowse via a shot taken from the edge of the Tottenham Hotspur box. The first goal of the game from the Englishman came after 25 minutes and Southampton had the lead for 16 minutes until Harry Kane equalised for Spurs after Son Heung-Min was brought down in the box by Mohammed Salisu. Ghanaian defender Salisu was sent off with a second yellow card for the foul on Son and his teammates were forced to play with a man down for the rest of the first half and the whole of the second half.
Tottenham Hotspur could not break 10-man Saints down for the rest of the game as the two teams settle for a draw.
